Catalog Addendum
A. Bilingual Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
This addendum updates the admissions requirements for the Bilingual English/Mandarin Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program.
Effective for the 2025–2026 academic year, applicants to the Bilingual DBA program may be evaluated based on an evaluated master’s degree transcript equivalent to a U.S. master’s degree. In addition, a bachelor’s degree transcript, determined to be equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree, may also be requested in accordance with the revised admissions criteria. All transcripts are subject to the appropriate transcript documentation and evaluation process.

Bilingual English/Mandarin Instruction (Cohort Only)
The bilingual online Doctor of Business Administration “DBA” will be offered by the University of La Verne in the US working in partnership with THH Zhidao Education, which is designed for senior executive leaders working full-time in China who seek to contribute to their professional and organization’s success.
The curriculum requirements of this Bilingual English/Mandarin DBA Program will be the same as the US version DBA Program except for the languages of delivery and will go through an appropriate transcript documentation process. Students participating in the online bilingual Mandarin and English Doctor of Business Administration, offered in partnership with Zhidao Education, will not be required to demonstrate English proficiency.
B. Ed.D. in Educational Leadership
The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program has updated its dissertation research requirements. The following dissertation research courses are required for completion of the degree and total 18 units.
Students will enroll in a dissertation research course each term during the dissertation phase. These courses carry academic credit but do not assess a separate course fee.

C. Instructional Modality Update – HyFlex
HyFlex is an approved instructional modality at the University of La Verne.
HyFlex Definition:
HyFlex is an instructional format in which teaching and interaction take place in a University of La Verne–approved classroom, with a combination of in-person and online participation.
Courses offered in HyFlex format will:

Include no less than 20% in-seat class sessions and no more than 50% of total required meetings in person during the semester/session

Deliver remaining instructional content online

Allow students at designated receiving locations to participate synchronously using University-supported video and audio technology during required on-ground sessions

Require students to have access to appropriate technology, including a computing device and reliable internet connectivity
