Nursing - RN to BSN
RN-BSN Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing: RN to BSN include:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Active, unencumbered, California RN license or be eligible for a California RN License.
- Proof of official NCLEX Results
- Applicants must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of college level courses in the following areas with a grade of “C” or better:
- Oral Communication
- Written Communication
- Critical Thinking
- Math
- Completion of School of Nursing prerequisite courses in the following areas:
- Human Anatomy with Lab
- Human Physiology with Lab
- Microbiology with Lab
- Chemistry (Intro or General)
- Statistics1
- 1
If Statistics is not completed at the time of admission, the student must complete Statistics prior to taking NURS 333 Nursing Research. Statistics may be taken concurrently with NURS 333 Nursing Research in consultation with the student's advisor. Students' individualized curriculum plan may be longer depending on the number of courses needed to complete the required 128 semester hours for a bachelor's degree.
RN-BSN Application Requirements
The RN-BSN program participates in a Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS). Applications for admission to the program are accepted for the Fall and Spring terms. All RN-BSN Students must complete their application through NursingCAS.

- Professional goal statement of no more than two pages
- One letter of recommendation from an academic instructor or clinical supervisor

- Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
- National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)

All students must submit the following required documents after admission to the RN-BSN Program:

- Select VN00
- Upload all required documents to student account
