Admission requirements for the Bilingual Authorization

1. Prerequisite teaching credential (Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Education Specialist)
   1. The following, however, are not appropriate prerequisite credentials or permits: Emergency Permits, Provisional Internship Permits, Short-Term Staff Permits, District Intern Permits, District Intern Credentials, University Intern Credentials, Exchange Credentials, Sojourn Certificated Employee Credentials, Services Credentials without a special class authorization.
2. Interview with Chair of BILA program
3. SOLOM - Oral language assessment in Spanish
4. Statement of Purpose written in Spanish
5. Reading assessment in Spanish
