The Chemistry Department provides a solid theoretical and experimental-based bachelor’s program in Chemistry in preparation for graduate study in chemistry, the medical professions, and employment in chemistry-related professions. The Department strongly encourages hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation. Ample opportunity exists for participation in research and other professional activities. The research areas in the Chemistry Department are related to top-of-the-field topics that will provide the springboard from which the students can acquire the expertise as professional graduates and become involved in hi-tech activities either at universities or industries.
